Sarah Barnes

Sarah is the Chief Innovation Officer at UI Charitable, where she leads efforts to establish best practices across the organization and support innovation in philanthropic strategy and operations.
She brings deep experience from the financial services industry, having held roles at Salomon Brothers, Salomon Smith Barney, and Citigroup on both the buy-side and the sell-side—as an advisor and as an investor. She has also held operating roles at large organizations like Leucadia Corporation and Overstock.com, as well as early-stage ventures including Daily Bread LLC, Zane Benefits, and Next Gear Solutions.
Sarah obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School.
