What Is a General Field of Interest (FOI) Fund?
General Field of Interest Funds are philanthropic vehicles managed by UI Charitable, where donors contribute to a broad cause or region rather than selecting specific organizations. UI Charitable’s Fund Committees—composed of regional experts and UI staff—review due diligence and determine funding allocations based on community needs. Donors do not have advisory privileges.
