Steve Leininger serves on the Board and Investment Committee of UI Charitable Advisors, bringing decades of experience in finance, healthcare, and social impact. He is the former managing partner of Thomas Doll, CPAs, a wealth management firm that also specialized in accounting and tax services for healthcare organizations. He was deeply involved in guiding families in their philanthropic goals. Throughout his career, Steve has provided strategic guidance to healthcare enterprises, leveraging his deep understanding of the industry’s financial complexities.
He remains actively involved as an investor and advisor to innovative healthcare organizations. His two years living in the Philippines gave him hands-on experience working with the Philippine national government—including the Department of Health on vaccine acceptance, the Department of Education on literacy and digital learning, and the Department of Agriculture on food security and child nutrition. These partnerships have shaped his insights into what drives sustainable impact in developing contexts.
For the past 15 years, Steve has been affiliated with the Ballard Center for Social Impact at the Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University. There, he mentors student teams developing solutions to pressing global challenges—many of which have led to ventures creating measurable, lasting change.
Steve earned a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University and holds CPA and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designations. He also serves as president and board member of the Acus Foundation, which is dedicated to improving care for wounded warriors suffering from physical and psychological trauma.
